Despite no follow-up to being announced at this time, it's clear that Nintendo isn't quite done with the game yet. A Switch 2 version for the game was released recently, and there's routinely being dropped. That doesn't even include merch, which also regularly releases throughout the year.
Now, Animal Crossing fans will need to keep an eye out for June 30, 2026. The announcement comes via the site, which you can translate into English if you can't read Japanese. There, you can find a whole new batch of Animal Crossing releases that'll be dropping this summer. And it all looks pretty amazing.
Animal Crossing Fans, Mark Your Calendars
The new Animal Crossing products are only confirmed for Japan right now, but considering how many HORI items get official English releases, we'll hopefully get these in the West as well. The new items include:
- Celeste Switch 2 Controller
- Celeste Switch 2 Carrying Case
- Timmy & Tommy Carrying Case
- Timmy & Tommy Carrying Case with Should Sling
- Tom Nook & Friends Switch 2 Controller
- Tom Nook Headset
While we're all waiting for the , these items are great if you have a Switch 2 and are currently playing ACNH on it. With yen to USD conversion, the controllers run around $56 while the various carrying cases and headset are all a bit over 30 bucks. If you plan on getting them from Japan, just remember you'll have shipping and import fees to deal with, which will at least double those prices.
These New Animal Crossing Accessories Are Adorable
These new Animal Crossing items are pretty incredible. No offense to Celeste, but I'm especially fond of the items with wooden designs. That Switch 2 controller with its wooden finish is going to be a must-buy if it comes Stateside. If I used the Game Chat function more often, the headset would also be high up on my list.

Right now, all of these items are available for pre-order from the HORI Store, Rokuten, and Amazon Japan, so if you don't mind paying extra for importing it to wherever you live, you can purchase this merchandise from Amazon Japan fairly easily. There's no word yet on when or if these Animal Crossing: New Horizons products will release outside of Japan, but if you have patience, I'm willing to bet we get these later in the year in the West.
