High-speed racing through the galaxy far, far away is set to return later this year with from Fuse Games. Evoking the classic Star Wars Episode I: Racer, Galactic Racer brings podracing back to gaming alongside a number of other speeders and speeder bikes. Star Wars: Galactic Racer pre-orders are open now, with bonuses for purchasing early and three different editions to choose from.

Galactic Racer's release date was recently announced as October 6, 2026, confirming a . Being developed by veterans of the Burnout franchise, Galactic Racer has attracted a lot of eyes hopeful that a great Star Wars racing game is on the horizon. With a , Galactic Racer has a lot of potential, and with its release date newly confirmed, attention has turned to its pre-order bonuses and the differences between its two special editions.

Per usual, the standard edition of Star Wars: Galactic Racer is nothing more than the base game. There are, however, two special editions: the Deluxe Edition (both digital and physical) and the Collector's Edition. Above is the official infographic showing what each one contains, but the table below has all the digital and physical bonuses plainly listed.

Deluxe Edition

Collector's Edition

  • 3 exclusive Kor Sarun vehicles
    • Darc X landspeeder
    • Ciza T speeder bike
    • Rac S skim speeder
  • Arcade events (time trials) for the three vehicles above
  • Deluxe livery inspired by the iconic Naboo N-1 Starfighter
  • Deluxe insignia and background for player banner
  • Digital art book
  • Steel case with sleeve (physical only, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S only)
  • All digital Deluxe Edition content
  • Metal model of Kor Sarun: Darc X landspeeder
  • Kestar's Banner, featuring Bool Family Sigil
  • Pilot patches of the main character, Shade, and their rival
  • Physical art book
  • Steel case with cardboard slipcover

For convenience, here are the prices of each Star Wars: Galactic Racer edition:

  • Standard: $59.99
  • Deluxe: $79.99
  • Collector's: $159.99

Galactic Racer's editions are pretty standard for modern games, but there are a couple of caveats. First is that the physical Deluxe Edition is only available for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions. Second is the Collector's Edition not having its own, unique artwork – the cardboard slipcover that comes with its steel case is the Deluxe Edition artwork, which is nearly identical to the standard cover art, except it boasts a black background instead of white.

Star Wars: Galactic Racer Pre-Order Bonuses

Snow Planet Galactic Racer

Regardless of which Star Wars: Galactic Racer edition you pre-order, the incentives are the same. If you purchase the standard, Deluxe, or Collector's edition before Galactic Racer releases on October 6, you are entitled to the following digital items:

  • Bonus livery for all repulsorcraft (landspeeders, speeder bikes, skim speeders)
  • Bonus player banner

The appearance of these bonus items correlates to your platform of choice. On PS5, the livery has blue details; on Xbox, they're green; and on PC, the livery has a more generic coral and light blue color palette. Pre-order bonuses have no bearing on gameplay – they simply change the appearance of your vehicles and player banner, which shows up in online matches.

The same has not been verified regarding the Kor Sarun vehicles in the Deluxe and Collector's editions, though it seems likely that their stats will mirror those of other vehicles in-game. We'll have to wait and see, but it's an obviously bad idea to lock unique vehicles behind a paywall in a like Star Wars: Galactic Racer.
