The platform has certainly been hard at work, including its latest endeavors to than ever before. But for those who read the content out of its Naver counterpart, namely, some of Korea's most beloved manhwa, it's been historically rather tricky to keep the hype alive for a hot new series due to how slowly the medium gets localized. But now, with Return of the Blossoming Blade's return for a killer season 3 on April 14, 2026, the Webtoon platform is serializing the manhwa simultaneously worldwide, as reported by and .

With fans being left eagerly waiting for a new mainline chapter release of Return of the Blossoming Blade (aka Return of Mount Hua Sect) since December 31, 2026, it's been an especially painful wait that's already paying off immensely. For English-language readers, the series released chapter #153 alongside five additional chapters as Cheongmyeong and his cohort reach Kunming, witness its troubles, and meet the presiding Palace of Southern Beasts. With new chapters available every Wednesday worldwide, it's truly the most exciting time to be a Return of the Blossoming Blade, arguably since its debut.

Cheongmyeong and Crew Return in Return of the Blossoming Blade Season 3

For those craving the usual hilarious and absurdly overconfident antics of Cheongmyeong as he and his Mount Hua Sect team travel to Kunming, it'll feel like there was almost never a year and some change of waiting time. Their travels brought them across bandits who, while easily dispatched, were nearly the subjects of Cheongmyeong's unhinged wrath, with them specifically calling him a "villainous maniac" for being willing to bury them on the side of the road.

Bandit-burying exploits aside, though, as the crew of Mount Hua reach Kunming in search of the Dusk Tint Bloom, at first wanting to present themselves as merchants of the Hwapyeong Trading Company, everyone sees the destitute state of the village within. Despite the bio-diverse surrounding Yunnan province, it's striking seeing the community both not knowing of the Dusk Tint Bloom, and often having to undertake drastic measures to prevent even children from stealing the extremely scarce food. But while Jogeol and Yunjong weigh the options and try to feed the children, the Palace of Southern Beasts faction brings Cheongmyeong's group to meet their lord.

It's a pretty loaded several chapters, with moments including the group reaching an eclectic facility with apex predators and an adorably feral cat who surprisingly likes Cheongmyeong (likely recognizing him as the superior predator, hilariously) to precede a surprising turning of the tables. Meanwhile, with Lord Tang meeting with the grand elders of the Mount Hua Sect, the elders are surprised and delighted at Tang's offer of friendship, while Soso, still determined to marry Cheongmyeong, is offered up as a disciple and gesture of good faith to spark a long and fruitful friendship. The best part of this is, the momentum will carry on every Wednesday, for the best of reasons.

Webtoon's Simultaneous Localization of Return of the Blossoming Blade Is a Win-Win

One obvious chief motive behind Webtoon's simultaneous worldwide release is, naturally, prevention of loss via the pervasive pirating problem of virtually any manhwa. But more importantly, this release pace for Return of the Blossoming Blade also means preserving the hype, and letting everybody in on the ground floor of the series' biggest future moments. While the manhwa was releasing surprisingly not as late as some series in English, with the LINE Webtoon release of the season 2 finale being January 30, 2026, that's still an entire month of its readership being left out of the equation, with longer wait times for .

But Webtoon was savvy to the fact that readers never just sat on their hands while new chapters dropped outside of their language. Raw scan sites and fan translations are incredibly popular, and this move kicks away the localization delay argument from the equation. Unlike for most manga fans following big print publications like Weekly Shonen Jump, Webtoon manhwa is digital-only by design, meaning another piracy advantage, leaking new chapters before official release dates, was naturally not as prevalent here. With Return of the Blossoming Blade being , there's never been a better time to follow for weekly new releases.
