subscribers can rush to the streaming service this weekend knowing that there are many exciting movies available to watch on the streamer. On , I went over No Place To Be Single, Despicable Me 4, and The Equalizer. Of those movies, only the Denzel Washington action thriller is trending in the United States.

At the time of writing, The Equalizer stands as the 7th most-watched movie on Prime Video nationwide. That said, according to FlixPatrol, the No Place To Be Single continues to fare well overseas, with the rom-com having become the 2nd most-watched movie on Prime Video in the world. As such, the past weekend selection continues to be timely for subscribers.

Having said that, this weekend's Prime Video movie list is perfect for those looking for adrenaline. There are two major action movies featuring well-known Hollywood stars. One of them is even the perfect alternative to an action release that just came out on another streaming service this week. The other simply features one of the alive.

Finally, so as not to shift the focus of the Prime Video movie recommendations entirely to one genre, there is a massive box office hit on this weekend's list. It is a franchise starter that has become timely for a rewatch after a new update on the sequel. Prime Video subscribers will enjoy all three releases.

3 A Minecraft Movie (2026)

Starting the list is a project everyone must have at least heard about, as A Minecraft Movie created a huge theatrical trend that took over social media when it was released. Based on one of the most popular games in recent memory, the film follows Jack Black's Steve, who guides other characters as they go on a surprising adventure in the Minecraft world, Overworld.

A Minecraft Movie presents a vibrant journey, albeit a silly one, as they try to find their way back home. The film went on to make $960.3 million at the global box office, confirming its status as a smash hit. After the , confirming that she will play Alex, now is a good time to rewatch the film before more set photos and videos get out.

2 The Accountant 2 (2026)

The first action movie on the list is the acclaimed The Accountant 2. The thriller holds a solid 75% critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes, which is good, but its truly impressive stat is just how much viewers enjoyed the movie. After all, The Accountant 2 is at a stellar 92% audience score on the platform. The action movie will leave viewers with whiplash from how impactful and explosive its action sequences are.

The Accountant 2 sees the return of Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal as the brothers Christian and Braxton, respectively. This time around, they team up, rather than go at each other's throats, to unravel a dark conspiracy. With Bernthal in the spotlight due to , The Accountant 2 emerges as the perfect alternative or follow-up.

1 Mechanic: Resurrection (2016)

Finally, Jason Statham has shown that he is one of the most skilled actors when the subject is action. To that end, Mechanic: Resurrection makes for a nice bookend to the weekend on Prime Video. In the action thriller, Statham reprises his role of Arthur Bishop from 2011's The Mechanic, now having to kill three people in nearly impossible situations, and having to make the deaths look like accidents.
