Key moments unfold in the Netflix project Office Romance, featuring Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein.

Recent developments revealed that Lopez and Goldstein were cast for the leading roles in this upcoming romantic comedy following an intense competition that Netflix emerged victorious in. Lopez takes on the role of Jackie Cruz, a formidable CEO, while Goldstein portrays Daniel Blanchflower, a fresh-faced lawyer at her airline. Amidst their professional obligations, the characters' lives intertwine in unexpected ways, leading to a clandestine affair.

The first teaser for Office Romance has been unveiled, offering viewers a glimpse into the evolving dynamic between the central couple. The film is scheduled for release on Netflix on June 5. View the promotional clip below:

In preparation for the trailer's release, Lopez revamped her online profile to mirror her character's persona. Her profile picture showcases an aircraft adorned with the Air Cruz insignia, and her job description reads as "CEO & Pilot, Air Cruz." Her acting history includes notable roles in titles like The Wedding Planner, Maid in Manhattan, Monster-in-Law, The Back-up Plan, What to Expect When You're Expecting, Second Act, Marry Me, and Shotgun Wedding.

Office Romance is helmed by director Ol Parker, known for works such as Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again and Ticket to Paradise. The screenplay is co-authored by Goldstein and Joe Kelly, who have previously collaborated on the comedic film "Beard After Hours." Lopez, Goldstein, and Kelly also serve as producers on the movie.

Supporting cast members include Betty Gilpin (Death by Lightning), Amy Sedaris (The Mandalorian), Tony Hale (Toy Story 4), Bradley Whitford (The Handmaid's Tale), and Edward James Olmos (Blade Runner), who joins the cast as Lopez's character's father, Jack Cruz—reuniting with Olmos from their earlier collaboration in Selena.

Although Lopez has extensive experience in romantic comedies, her recent projects showcase a broader spectrum of genres. She has appeared in the sci-fi feature Atlas and the action-thriller Mother for Netflix, with the latter achieving top ten status among the platform's most-watched original films in 2026. Additionally, she featured in a remake and the sports drama Unstoppable.

Goldstein is renowned for his portrayal of Roy Kent in Ted Lasso season 4. Similar to his role in Office Romance, he contributes as an actor, writer, and producer for both the sports comedy series and Apple TV's Shrinking, which he co-created alongside Bill Lawrence and Jason Segel.
