Disney is one of the biggest purveyors of nostalgia, from its of animated classics to Disney Channel revivals like Wizards Beyond Waverly Place. Created by Linwood Boomer, the Hulu revival of the sitcom that originally aired on Fox for seven seasons from 2000 to 2006 follows the titular character, now with a wife and daughter, as they visit his parents, Hal and Lois, for their 40th wedding anniversary.
According to , Malcolm in the Middle: Life's Still Unfair drew 8.1 million views globally in its first three days, making it the most-watched season premiere on Disney+ and Hulu so far this year. The revival also achieved the second-largest season premiere ever on Disney+ in Latin America, with 3.6 million views in its first three days in the region, trailing only Loki season 1.
