Following a three-year hiatus marked by canceled spinoffs, Prime Video’s Citadel returns for season 2 with all seven episodes set for release on May 6. The series, originally budgeted at $300 million across six episodes, includes new storylines from spinoffs Diana and Honey Bunny.

Trailer reveals Mason Kane (Richard Madden), Nadia Sinh (Priyanka Chopra Jonas), and Bernard Orlick (Stanley Tucci) leading elite operatives against the Manticore network. Returning cast members Lesley Manville and Ashleigh Cummings join newcomers Jack Reynor, Matt Berry, and others. Showrunner David Weil, alongside executive producers Josh Appelbaum, Bryan Oh, and AGBO, aims to salvage the franchise after mixed critical reception (51% RT critics, 62% audience) and previous spinoff cancellations.

With no confirmed renewal for season 3, viewership metrics for season 2 will determine future plans. The series’ $300 million investment underscores its high stakes, balancing legacy content with fresh narratives to attract global audiences.
