A major new update has been revealed about after filming was brought to a halt in Spain.
The Game of Thrones spinoff was recently in Gran Canaria, Spain, to film scenes for season 2 when production was forced to shut down amid historic flooding due to high water levels at the Las Niñas Dam. Based on recent reports, this particular location will likely be closed for a few weeks.
According to , filming for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms season 2 is about to resume but at a different location in Spain. The cast and crew will film other scenes at La Fortaleza in Gran Canaria instead, while officials handle cleanup operations in the areas that have been impacted by the flooding.
As filming resumes, scouting will also get underway to find a replacement for the Las Niñas Dam that A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms has been forced to abandon.
It appears that production tents had already been set up at La Fortaleza for at least a month, indicating that filming was planned at this location for a while. Set photos from Atlántico Hoy reveal that La Fortaleza is a mountainous area that stands in stark contrast with the water and woods at Las Niñas Dam.
